Elements: A Festival of Jewellery, Silver and Gold is a celebration of the UK’s most significant contemporary designer jewellers and silversmiths. Elements 3 will bring 50 makers to the Scottish capital for an exquisite selling fair, a stunning exhibition, jewellery and silversmithing demonstrations, and a series of sparkling events.

Elements offers an antidote to mass produced work of uncertain origin by breaking down the barriers between makers and buyers. The festival provides the opportunity to meet the makers, to find out the story behind each individual item, and to buy or commission unique pieces.

The selling fair will feature several returning exhibitors, including Bryony Knox, Mark Nuell, Angus McFadyen, Daphne Krinos and Karen Westland, and a number of new faces, including Sarah Brown, Wanshu Li, and Samantha Moore.

Elements 3 will also feature an extraordinary exhibition, 50 Secrets of Magic Craftsmanship, which has been commissioned by the Incorporation of Goldsmiths of the City of Edinburgh and Lyon & Turnbull for the festival.

The exhibition has been created by leading modern jewellery curators Amanda Game, former Director of the Scottish Gallery, and Professor Dorothy Hogg MBE, designer and former Head of Jewellery and Silversmithing at Edinburgh College of Art.

50 Secrets of Magic Craftsmanship will feature the work of 50 international artists and designers, including Anni Albers, Malcolm Appleby, Gijs Bakker, Tord Boontje, Giovanni Corvja, Gerda Flockinger, Jo Hayes Ward, Sachiko Kuroda, Roger Millar, Ted Noten, Wendy Ramshaw, and Jacqueline Ryan.
