A successful visit to Antwerp (2018 dates to follow)

5 October 2017

This year’s trip to Antwerp proved to be a success, with all of the positive feedback received there will be another trip planned for next year, members should look out for the dates for 2018 in our events calendar.

The Antwerp Diamond Experience is a three day visiting programme that gives retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers the opportunity to access the Antwerp Diamond community. Groups from Asia, the US and the Middle East have already taken part in the trip and now it’s the turn of European companies.

The trip is offered free of charge (1 individual per company) and visitors are not obliged to buy. During the three-day visit which incorporates business, culture, heritage and education, you can gain insider access to the diamond capital of the world.

"I enjoyed a fascinating few days on this brilliantly organised trip.I felt very well looked after the whole time and feel very lucky to have been taken to such impressive places! I have made some contacts which I think will be very useful to us, have gained some great knowledge about Antwerp and diamonds which is invaluable and I look forward to sharing this with my colleagues. I was also very pleased to have met such a wonderful range of jewellers and designers from all over Europe." Commented Sarah Streatfeild from Alex Monroe.

“A wonderful and rare opportunity for a fast-track introduction to some fascinating individuals within the Diamond community in Antwerp, which would normally not be possible, without the NAJ arranging the Trip.” from Ben Ogden of Ogden of Harrogate Ltd.

"Special thanks has to go to NAJ & AWDC for allowing GemPort Jewellery Ltd to be invited on the recent 3 day trip to Antwerp. What an amazing experience and one I will never forget. We also had a fascinating tour of the city of Belgium & exploring the diamond industry in Antwerp. Many contacts have been made and even new friendships blossomed from other fellow NAJ members such as Lauren from Sarah Layton Jewellers and Eleanor from R J Morris amongst others.  Thank you also has to go to HRD Antwerp & Beau Declerck for showing us round the superb diamond lab."

"I found the trip extremely worthwhile and it offered an interesting insight into the diamond world of Antwerp. I would highly recommend the trip as the behind the scenes tours were fantastic while opening up new avenues for business through the supplier introductions." From Dave Macdonald of Taylor Hart.
