NAJ Release Details of their International Jewellery London Initiatives

14 July 2017

As one of the sponsors of International Jewellery London we are proud to be involved in this fantastic show. The National Association of Jewellers will be exhibiting on stand J20 at International Jewellery London 2017. The stand is geared up to welcome all sectors of the industry, including members and potential members. With new initiatives and exclusive show offers, hundreds of IJL attendees and exhibitors are expected to stop by to find out how the association can add value to their business.

Made in Britain Mark

In a strategic approach to the current environment the NAJ will launch the new ‘Made in Britain Mark’, on the stand at IJL. The new voluntary Mark will give manufactures a point of differentiation and will help consumers to identify which products have been manufactured in Britain. With the support of a licensing body, the NAJ will be able to offer members the opportunity to use the mark in the coming months. A presentation of the concept will take place at 12.00pm on Monday 4th of September.

Our Education Offering

In light of the re-launch of the association’s most popular course, the JET certificate, the education team will be on hand to talk to all visitors and exhibitors about the new manufacturing and design modules which ensure that the qualification is relevant to all industry sectors. The IJL Academy will also host an insightful JET Taster session, which will take place at 4pm on Sunday 3rd of September in the Olympia room. There is also a £50 saving to be made on any JET course, all individuals need to do is register their interest on the stand at International Jewellery London 2017.

Better Business and Millennials Initiatives

Corporate social responsibility and sustainability are often used as buzz words in our industry. The Better Business initiative is a new initiative that will tackle some of these endeavours and enable small and medium-scale enterprises to undertake more responsible business practices, both in the workplace and across the supply chain. All those present at IJL should come along to the stand to find out more. Especially for the Millennials amongst us or those with any employees under the age of 30, there is an opportunity to be part of a new Millennial’s networking group. Visit our stand J20, between 11am and 1pm on Sunday 3rd of September to ‘Meet the Millennial’s.’

NAJ Membership

For those interested in joining the association, completing an application on our stand during the show will secure 6 months free membership with the NAJ. Terms and conditions apply.

Jewellery Industry Promotions Ambassador, Lindsey Straughton is poised to support IJL’S Kickstarters and Bright Young Gems, as well as making her way around the show to speak to talented designers about the benefits of Designer Maker Membership.

NAJ Chairman Simon Johnson shares his excitement for the up and coming show:

“IJL is fast approaching and this year we have lots of new, relevant and exciting benefits, services and initiatives to share with the industry. The team are looking forward to welcoming members and non-members to the NAJ stand, where guests can enjoy some refreshments over a worthwhile conversation about how we can make you money and save you money.”
