Up and Coming Entrepeneur? We have a masterclass for you

14 February 2017

If you’re new to the industry, setting up or starting your own jewellery business we are here to help you on the pathway to success with a new dynamic one-day Entrepreneurship Masterclass, facilitated by Gordon Hamme, managing director of British Silver Week. The day will focus single-mindedly on how to harness tried and tested brand creation theories to map out your company from the basics of starting a business, finance and branding as a legal structure, sole trader or Limited Company to dealing with statutory bodies such as HMRC and VAT offices.

A section on preparing a business plan, market research and writing a business plan will be designed to help small companies and Gordon will also be happy to review business plans written after the course.

Other topics covered are:

  • Embarking upon a business venture, company finance, investors, banks and crowdfunding.
  • Communication & marketing, your website, social media and dealing with the press.
  • Where’s best to sell: galleries, agents or craft fairs, national and international fairs?
  • Help from mentors, case studies and trade associations.

As this is a masterclass, places are strictly limited with just 7 places for our first session on 17th March at a cost of  £200 per delegate with a discounted special ‘support the trade rate’ of £65 for those in their first two years in the industry.

To be eligible, visit www.naj.co.uk to download an application form and send a copy of your C.V. along with 500 words on the business you are considering or have developed to kate.madelin@naj.co.uk
