Domino will use its stands at Baselworld (Hall 2.1, Stand L82) to introduce its overseas customers and British visitors to the show, to ‘Platinum Gold’ a new alloy which mixes platinum with pure gold, rather than other platinum group metals, to create an alloy that has 97.3% precious metal content.
Domino has long been a forerunner in the manufacture of platinum jewellery, much of which is created and crafted at its state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Birmingham. The company is now producing all of its platinum wedding bands in this exciting new alloy which Domino has exclusive rights in the United Kingdom for the foreseeable future.
As well as its high, precious-metal content, Platinum Gold is brilliantly white and enhances the beauty of sparkling diamonds. Furthermore, in addition to its great strength and hardness, Platinum Gold’s malleability is exceptionally good allowing Domino to introduce increasingly creative designs with intricate detail to their offering.
“We have been testing Platinum Gold for some months now and I am pleased to report that not only is it beautiful and exclusive, but it also has excellent manufacturing properties. We are confident that it will further enhance our production processes and ensure a truly luxurious product of the highest possible quality,” says marketing and sales director Andrew Sollitt.
Whilst it may be a premium alloy, the rings created in Platinum Gold will not be sold at a premium price, as Domino wants its customer base to experience maximum benefit from the alloy.
“We are hugely excited about the qualities and possibilities that Platinum Gold provides and are hopeful that in time it will become synonymous with the Domino brand,” says Sollitt.
Platinum wedding bands are, of course, just a small part of Domino’s bridal range which offers designs for men and women across a huge range of different alloys, profiles, band widths and diamond carat weights. 39 ‘Finishing Touches’ a range of decorative finishes which consumers can choose to have applied to their classic wedding bands further extends the level of personalisation available this season.
Also on show at Basel will be Domino’s highly popular, ‘Diamond Ring Mount Collection’ of both classic and contemporary engagement and lifestyle rings. The company also anticipates a high-level of interest in its best-selling ‘Rosabella’ range of fully-finished diamond necklace, earring and bracelet suites.
“Domino is all about offering retailers constant innovation and tremendous choice coupled with high levels of service and speedy delivery – wherever in the world they are based. We are much looking forward to demonstrating our range and versatility to visitors at Basel,” says Sollitt.
