Coalville based leading lighting specialists, Parify, have seen impressive growth throughout the past four years, remarkably doubling their turnover each year, and are now ready to take their business to the next level.
Co-owners Andy Twigg and Scot Walker, founded the business back in 2013, when they discovered a huge gap in the market where LED lighting was concerned. They also found a number of issues that jewellers were having with their lighting systems, so they set out to find the solution.
The initial dream, which has now become a reality, was to create a British company that design and manufacture bespoke lighting, meeting the needs of the jewellery and retail sector. Parify are proud to say that all their products are British innovated and British engineered from their factory / office in Leicestershire.
Just one year later, Parify were invited to become members of the Company of Master Jewellers which was a huge step forward for the team. Andy Twigg was pleasantly surprised by their initial success.
“People warmed to us and Parify quickly. We started very small, with a range of lights that we’d manufactured. Within that range we offered bespoke elements that no one else was making. As word of mouth got around, we grew organically and instantly.”
The business hit the landmark figure of £1 million turnover, after just four short years. Due to this rapid and unexpected growth of the business, Parify saw a new demand from customers who wanted to see bespoke furniture, with Parify’s lighting technology built in. Established in 2015, Progressive Display are continuing to push the boundaries in retail and jewellery display, offering bespoke solutions, brand new concepts, controllability and materials.
The Parify team now supply to over 1,000 jewellers in the UK which gives them a great platform to take their business to the USA. Through their close relationships with jewellery stores, Andy and Scot have witnessed many success stories where their lighting has had a positive impact on jewellers’ sales and profit margins, almost overnight.
Andy believes this is the perfect time to start to reach out to a wider audience.
“We are at a point where we are well known in the UK, and we also have several unique products in the portfolio which we believe in a global market would be accepted as very interesting products to clients out there.”
Another reason why Parify have chosen to branch out to America is the similarity in culture and the fact that it represents 22% of the global GDP. Reports also show that jewellery sales were worth US $316 billion in 2016.
Moving forward, with a continued passion in the business, Andy and Scot have a product development plan to bring new products to market on a six-monthly basis.
