Financial Support

The following trust and charity aim to support businesses and inderviduals within the jewellery industry with staff training and career progression. This may include any of the NAJ courses, principally the JET programme in addition to training opportunties and qualifications provided by other organisations.

Many of the NAJ's members support the trust and the society by making an annual donation when renewing their membership. Proceeds from the NAJ Awards are also contributed to the trust and the society. 

Education Trust

The National Association of Jewellers Education Trust was set up in 1994 (then operating as the NAG) for the Association’s centenary celebrations. 

The trust exists to provide scholarships, awards and assitance towards training and work experience opportunties for persons who derive their main livelyhood from the retail jewellery trade.

To qualify you need to be currently employed within the jewellery industry or working within the jewellery industry or working within the Education Sector on programmes directly relevant to employees within the jewellery industries.

The Benevolent Society 

The Benevolent Society is the charitable society of the British Allied Trades Federation (BATF). BATF is the parent company of  the NAJ and where the NAJ's Birmingham office is based. 

The society provide support, in the form of annual busaries, for those who are either studying or wish to obtain further skills/qualifications. 

 Applications are assessed by the Board of Trustees. The busary is usually paid directly to the education / training provider on a termly basis.
