Watch Assembler required

  • Position reports to: Assembler Team Leader/Production Manager

Purpose of position:

To assemble mechanical time pieces meeting the required quota.

The role is demanding given the complexity of the product and the detail of the build. For these reasons, it would suit precision assemblers with a good temperament and a ‘get it right first time’ attitude, given the small margin for error expected within the build. Attention to every detail is of high importance.

The watch assembly contains extremely small sensitive parts so it is imperative that candidates can concentrate solely on the task in hand and be able to assemble to a high standard.

Good eyesight is an essential requirement complete with good hand to eye co-ordination. Cleanliness and methodical working practice is key

The product assembly is aided by purpose built equipment and fixtures, involving the setting of datum points and the accurate setting of components.

Key result areas:

Transforming a kit of components into a functional and accurate timepiece and meeting monthly targets set by Production Manager.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience:

Education: GCSE in Maths, English and a technical subject

Experience: Assembly finite is preferable/beneficial, and a background that involved manual dexterity, good eyesight and the use/handling of small intricate parts.
