Terms & Conditions

The NAJ Awards recognise excellence during the 12 months of July 2016 - June 2017.

Any answers on your submission must only relate to July 2016 - June 2017.

Companies or individuals can only enter a submission in relation to their own company or the company they work for. Nominations for peers will not be accepted. Although an individual or company may enter more than one category, the NAJ reserves the right to place them in the most appropriate category should they be shortlisted.

Submissions from non-members will not be accepted.  Participants must be a current, fully paid up member of the association to enter and receive an NAJ Award.

Previous winners are of course eligible to enter.

Entrants for ‘Retailer of the Year’ in the 1-5 or above 5 category should be aware that their store or one of their stores will be mystery shopped should they be shortlisted. The date or store at which the mystery shop will take place will not be revealed.  The results of the mystery shop will not be shared with the owner or any company representative. The results of any mystery shop will be private and confidential, amongst the judging panel and will not be discussed with any one person outside of the judging panel.

Entrants for the ‘Website of the Year’ category will be asked to provide the address of their website for the judges to review. Please note the judges will not offer any sort of feedback in regards to their opinion of a website.

The awards will close for entries on Monday 30th October; the shortlist will be announced in November.

The NAJ will not offer participants any sort of feedback should they not be selected as a winner or one of the shortlisted.

Those who have submitted an entry are encouraged to purchase at least one ticket to the NAJ Awards presentation on Thursday 7th of December in Solihull. Where an individual or company is shortlisted, at least one individual or representative is expected to attend the Awards presentation. Tickets can be booked here.

Entering the NAJ awards is free and open to all members of the association; tickets to the Benevolent Ball where the awards are presented are chargeable. The early bird is £800 + VAT per table of 12, and £73.00 + VAT per ticket if booked before the end August; the standard ticket price is £77+VAT, tables of 12 £850.
