Hockley Mint solves needs of trade customers with launch of new website

Hockley Mint has reported overwhelming success following the launch of its new trade website, with 50 new accounts already registered on the site in the month since it went live.

Officially unveiled at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham in February, the Hockley Mint team offered customers a personal tour of the site at the show and received positive feedback on all aspects of the cleaner, brighter site.

Hockley Mint will use the website to promote the four core elements of its business: mounts, wedding rings, findings and cast components. All products have been shot on plain backgrounds and bestselling designs will be available to view using 360° animation.

Prices are updated on a daily basis so that trade customers can give clients accurate quotes, and the website also features a custom-made filtering system to make searching for products quick and easy, offering options to search by profile, width and metal. The site also showcases the Birmingham manufacturer’s British-made collection of engagement ring mounts and pendant, stud and wedding ring designs, as well as its competitive casting business and burgeoning bespoke jewellery service.

Sam Stevens, marketing manager at Hockley Mint, said: “The response at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham was very good. Everyone we spoke to was interested to see how the new site works and was impressed with the new features, especially the product selection filtering options.

“Around 50 new accounts are in the process of being set up. Most are existing customers looking for an easy way to order and get multiple quotes quickly or out of office hours. We have also had requests from new trade contacts who are looking to explore our growing range of products.”

Speaking of the new website, Hockley Mint managing director Gary Wroe added: “I am delighted we have launched the e-commerce Hockley Mint website. This will significantly change the way customers can obtain quotes along with a fast filtering system that will enable the right product to be sourced quickly. We currently have 63,000 individual lines on the site with a further 100,000 in the process of being added – no small task.”

The new Hockley Mint website coincided with the launch of Hockley Mint’s latest 2016 collection of engagement and wedding rings, and matching pendant and earring sets, which were successfully unveiled at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham in February.
