We support two charities, our own Education Trust and the Federation's Benevolent Society. Members donate to these charities through a voluntary donation that is added to their subscription. and The NAJ also make regular donations. Both charities support the future of the jewellery industry, the Benevolent Society also supports retired members of the jewellery community.

Education Trust

The Education Trust was set up in 1994 (then operating as the NAG) for the Association’s centenary celebrations. The trust exists to provide scholarships, awards and assistance towards training and work experience opportunities for persons in the jewellery industry. To qualify you need to be:

  • Employed in the jewellery industry
  • Working within the jewellery industry
  • Working within the Education Sector on programmes directly relevant to employees within the jewellery industries

The Benevolent Society

The Benevolent Society is the charitable society of the British Allied Trades Federation (BATF). BATF is the parent company of the NAJ.

They society financially assist individuals that have worked within the giftware, jewellery, surface engineering, travel goods and fashion accessories industries. The society also helps individuals starting or progressing their career journeys in these industries through bursaries to help with their studies.
