Last night, over 600 jewellery and watch enthusiasts gathered at The Artillery Garden, London for the 27th year of the annual UK Jewellery Awards 2019. The UKJA is the jewellery and watch industry’s longest running and most prestigious awards event celebrating achievements in the trade.

The ever-popular Larry Lamb, star of Gavin & Stacey and EastEnders, made his UKJA debut, as host for the evening. With so many NAJ members shortlisted for the awards, it was wonderful to see them being recognised on the night for their contribution to the jewellery industry. Renowned family jewellers Beaverbrooks scooped not one, but two awards; Employer of the Year and the Special Recognition Award for its contribution to the jewellery industry over its 100-year history. NAJ member Ntinga, a high fashion London based jewellery brand was crowned Jewellery/Watch Supplier of the Year with one of the UK's leading jewellery manufacturers Domino, being awarded Highly Commended.

Clogau returned as headline partner for its sixth consecutive year of sponsorship of the event. The Welsh family business took home the Mono-Brand Retailer of the Year accolade presented by our very own Association Industry Ambassador, Lindsey Straughton. Simon Forrester, NAJ Chief Executive presented Best Multichannel Retail Offer to eponymous jewellery brand Daniella Draper.

Jewellery manufacturer and NAJ member Hockley Mint sponsored the Bridal Jewellery Retailer of the Year award, with Highly Commended being awarded to another NAJ member and Birmingham based bespoke jewellery, Bond Jewellery and Diamonds that previously won the NAJ Retailer of the Year 2018.

The festivities didn’t end there, as attendees were treated to an evening of entertainment in the form of dancing, a fun fair and a charity casino in aid of The British Jewellery and Giftware Federation Benevolent Society.

Congratulations to the finalists across all categories and especially to the very worthy winners!
