After last week’s postponement of the NAJ Summit (until June 2021), the industry Trade Association has now published the first set of speakers for its Better Business webinar series. The series builds on the existing NAJ Better Business toolbox, and features industry-leading speakers, some of whom were due to talk at the NAJ summit.

Better Business was born out of the understanding small and medium-sized businesses make up most of the jewellery industry, and that business leaders face challenges when working out how to make sure their businesses survive and grow.

The webinars cover key topics and themes from the NAJ Better Business toolbox, and with the first webinar this Thursday, members are invited to register to listen to Louise Lyons talking about the first steps in online sales, as well as continue to feedback to NAJ on the most pertinent topics through the weekly virtual coffee (and tea!) breaks held every Monday and Wednesday at 11am.

Speaking about publishing the first webinar speakers and the virtual coffee (and tea!) breaks, NAJ Chief Executive Simon Forrester said,

“By in effect moving the Summit online, we are continuing to deliver a significant benefit to members and help keep them fit for the future in these trying times. Our better business toolbox points out that business is never business as usual, and this is particularly relevant now.

“We continue to hear from members about difficult decisions they are having to make, and the need for more information and guidance. As the industry trade body it’s important we continue to provide the necessary support and keep sharing information that we receive and continue to challenge the relevant authorities.

“The virtual coffee break every Monday and Wednesday is a means for businesses and the individuals behind them to continue communicating with each other for the foreseeable, and share some of their experiences and best practice at this time. Now is the time for the industry to come together and work alongside each other”

Each webinar is hosted on the Demio platform and lasts for approximately 60 minutes, broken down into 40 minutes for a presentation and 20 minutes for questions.
