Launched at the NAJ Awards 2019, the NAJ Summit will take place in Summer 2020 with a programme of speakers announced throughout January and February.

The Summit which takes place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of June will centre around the long-standing three-day Valuers Conference and the popular residential Jewellers Congress, as well as be supported by seminars on Security, Better Business and Created in the UK.

After launching the event at the NAJ Awards 2019, NAJ Chair Harriet Kelsall said,

“The Summit will reflect the range of communities that make up this wonderful industry to both learn from one another and network together. The NAJ membership is made up of Retailers, Valuers, Designers, Manufacturers and Suppliers, all of which play a crucial role in making our industry fit for the future, and we’ve found time and time again when we get together, good things happen.”

Surrounded by 150 acres of peaceful parkland the De Vere Staverton Estate is a stylish and contemporary retreat in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, boasting a leisure club, spa and PGA European-tour standard 18-hole golf course on site. The venue also presents itself as convenient to reach, with easy access from the M1, Birmingham Airport and West Coast Mainline, with a journey from London Euston to the venue taking just over 60 minutes.

When asked about how the Summit would be able to cater for all the different needs of each membership type, Harriet said,

“What is important about the Summit is that each event taking place on site maintains its own identity. Yes, there will be opportunity for crossover both socially and within the days’ programme(s), but it makes sense for us to put on events that cater for each membership community while offering an ‘open door’ to those curious to understand other parts of the industry. Therefore, I’m particularly passionate about ensuring the long-standing Valuers Conference continues to be a huge success, and the Jewellers Congress also maintains the excellent feedback it has had in recent years.

“I am excited to share this news, but I am holding some of the excitement in reserve because of the calibre of international speakers that we look forward to unveiling in due course.”

Tickets for the Summit are available for one, two, or three-day options all cheaper than previous versions of the Congress and Conference respectively, with the Sunday evening Gala Dinner pinpointed as the Summit’s pinnacle.

When asked why the flat pricing of tickets, NAJ Chief Executive Simon Forrester said,

“We chose not to offer early bird pricing to keep it consistent across all the events within the Summit, wherever people are choosing to spend their time. As you might expect, NAJ Members will benefit from a healthy discount and allied to the accommodation coming in at less than £90 per night, we hope this means the cost to attend doesn’t present itself as a barrier. I am very much looking forward to welcoming attendees to the Staverton Estate next June on a sunny Summer evening overlooking the fantastic facilities.”

More details on the Summit, including the developing programme of speakers will follow in the New Year but NAJ members and others within the Jewellery community are being encouraged to mark the Summit date in their diary, as well as NAJ’s range of other events through their event calendar.
