The British Academy of Jewellery celebrates new partnership with the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (Foundation High Horology)

02 Oct 2018

The British Academy of Jewellery (BAJ) is delighted to announce its new partnership with the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH). The FHH was founded in Geneva in 2005 to promote Fine Watchmaking all over the world.

The FHH provides training opportunities for professionals in Fine Watchmaking as well as striving to inform and develop interest, encouraging more individuals to take up fine watch making as a profession. The FHH currently works with 42 partner brands worldwide, along with approximately 70 brands in the fine watch perimeter.

The FHH have partners delivering their qualifications worldwide, and BAJ are thrilled to be exclusively representing the FHH in the UK by offering training opportunities in fine watch making.

The BAJ will be delivering the Watch Essentials course, which will last 2 days and learners will undertake an exam on completion of the course. The course will enable learners to understand what fine watch making encompasses, developing an understanding of the essential points of a watch and to understand what adds value to a watch. No prior knowledge in the watch industry will be required prior to taking the course and it is open to all, including those who may already be working within the industry. Training will commence at BAJ Birmingham the week starting 22nd October 2018.
