Today the NAJ has announced that its Annual Awards, traditionally held at the Benevolent Society Ball in December will now take place at the Association’s Summit, in June 2021.

The NAJ Awards, held to recognise and celebrate excellence in its membership will move to join other events already publicised at the summer event next year.

The Summit which will be held from the 19th to the 21st of June at the De Vere Staverton Park Estate in Northamptonshire is already home to the popular Retail Jewellers' Congress, long standing 3-day Valuers' Conference and themed seminars on SecurityWise, Better Business and Created in the UK.

Gary Wroe, Chair of the NAJ said,

“With the changing circumstances, the responsible action here was to push the awards back to the Summit in June, an event which already has so much going for it.

“How the industry is now networking is quite different to that we are traditionally used to, however we recognise the value in committing to a single weekend when such popular events could take place, together.”

The now 2021 NAJ Awards will be sponsored by Back On The High Street Ltd.

A Spokesperson from Back On The High Street Ltd said,

“While it’s disappointing not to be able to sponsor the Awards this calendar year, we are excited about the prospect of the Awards at next years’ Summit.

“There was already a lot of value for the industry in attending the Summit event, but now for the Awards to be taking place the same event too, it’s an absolute must for the industry.”

The new sponsor of the NAJ Awards also said,

“Back On The High Street is proud to be leading the way with innovative solutions and improvements in customer experience to support local jewellers. We will soon be launching our new support services for retail jewellers, created to help jewellers to ultimately get more customers visiting their store(s) and online trading platforms.

“We will be working with the NAJ to build resilience, using a proactive approach to deliver many unique and exceptional customer experiences. This company is the first of its kind, a support service with a measurable impact that can be scaled throughout the year.”

2021 NAJ Award categories will include Salesperson of the Year, Designer of the Year, Workshop Professional of the Year, Team of the Year, Service Provider of the Year, Jewellery or Watch Supplier of the Year and Retailer of the Year, as well as other special categories to be announced in due course.

Entering the awards will once again be free for members and interested entrants can register interest to be notified when entry opens in early 2021.
