NAJ to host free ‘reopening’ leadership Masterclass for jewellery retail bosses

31 Mar 2021

JBN Masterclass

Independent retail leaders are invited to attend a facilitated session that aims to give business leaders guidance on how they can reset their leadership compass to deal with changing expectations of their people and their customers.

The 30-minute digital session will take place at 10 am on Thursday 8th April and is strictly limited to 20 attendees. Held at a time when many retailers will have been busy planning for reopening the following week, the masterclass ‘Your Leadership Compass and how it could define your 2021 retail performance’ ensures retailer leaders are able to focus on 2021 business priorities that matter.

Michael Donaldson, host and facilitator of the NAJ’s JET Business Network said,

Many jewellery retailers will be ready to re-open on the 12th and will be confident after successfully coming out of lockdown twice before, but this time it’s different. Thanks to the vaccine the world has changed and so have expectations. It is possible that what leaders did before may not be what is required and that businesses may have to rethink what they do.

This 30-minute session is for those looking to understand how they should reset their leadership compass, how to write and share a road map for their business with their most important asset, their people - the ones who really can make a difference to a jeweller’s retail performance in 2021.

It’s not complicated, and it can be completed in the next 4 days before jewellery retailers re-open on April 12th.

About Michael

Michael Donaldson, facilitator of the NAJ’s own independent retail community, the JET Business Network (JBN) has more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience under his belt and has improved business performance of leading companies in the jewellery, domestic appliance, consumer durable and FMCG sectors.

The JET Business Network (JBN) enables retailers to benchmark their business against other jewellery businesses, absorb new ideas, embrace new technologies, develop their strategic thinking and ultimately accelerate their business growth.

The five most popular reasons jewellery retailers stay part of the JET Business Network are to:

  1. Be part of a like-minded community - talk to individuals just like you, many going through the same challenges you're faced with
  2. Benchmark your commercial performance - monthly performance reports enable you to benchmark your business against other retail jewellers, and understand how your business is doing or could be doing
  3. Get real feedback on your store - as a JBN member you get to host a store visit from other members in your group
  4. Receive news before it hits - the JBN newsflash service filters the most relevant and pertinent news and updates for you, from both inside and outside the sector
  5. Access an online Q and A forum - whether it's staff churn, or your marketing success, understand how you compare and learn about what others do.
