Speakers announced for the Valuers’ Virtual Conference

Delivered by the NAJ’s Institute of Registered Valuers (IRV) and sponsored by TH March, the one-day Valuers’ Virtual Conference promises to provide a ‘safe, insightful and enjoyable’ experience for members and guests.

Valuers Virtual Conference 2020 logo with creditThe Virtual Conference will take place on Sunday 18th October and features a busy speaker programme including the likes of Alan Cohen from the London Diamond Bourse, Richard Drucker from GemWorld International and Richard Winterton, of Richard Winterton Auctioneers.

Publishing the full programme for the very first Virtual Conference, Jackie Sanders FIRV, one of the volunteer organisers said,

“We’re delighted to be holding this digital event. We were determined to provide the IRV community with a safe, insightful and enjoyable experience after having to postpone the Valuers’ Conference earlier this year.

“The response amongst the IRV community to the news this is happening has been terrific. I just want to express my thanks to the speakers for committing to this event, and also say thank you to Susan Pennington and Sandra Page for helping me to organise.”

Associates, Members and Fellows of the Institute of Registered Valuers can register for the Virtual Conference, however guests to the event must apply for a seat by emailing Sandra Page.

Also featuring in the day’s programme is the David Wilkins Award presented to an IRV who has demonstrated outstanding skill, dedication or service in respect of jewellery appraisal and valuation. David Wilkins (1931-1994), former Chairman of the National Association of Goldsmiths (the NAJ's predecessor) Valuations Committee, had a distinguished career in the jewellery industry and was widely known and respected both for his outstanding personal qualities and great expertise. More than any other individual David sought to encourage high standards of conduct and professionalism in respect of valuations. Valuers can nominate an IRV by emailing Sandra Page, IRV Coordinator.
